GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Police have arrested 12 young people and recovered the same amount of stolen cars in a crime spree that so far involves 22 business burglaries. A multi-agency police team assembled a year ago, the Metro Pattern Crimes Task Force, announced the arrests Thursday, March 16. The team in late January began investigating a series of business break-ins, throughout Kent County, that involved marijuana dispensaries, liquor stores, and convenience stores selling vape pens. Police eventually raided three homes using search warrants, recovering 12 stolen autos and four stolen handguns.
