GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Many school districts, including Grand Rapids, Caledonia, Forest Hills, Grandville, Kentwood and Rockford, are closed Friday, March 10, after heavy snow in West Michigan. A winter-weather advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m. ‘I'm calling it!' Grand Rapids Public Schools Superintendent Leadriane Roby tweeted. 'We went out on the roads this morning and they're simply too treacherous for a safe commute to school. Enjoy the day, and we'll see you next week!' Forest Hills, Rockford, Kentwood and Grandville were among the other Kent County school districts to close.
